Susan Blumhorst, MA
Susan Blumhorst is an Insurance Professional with her Masters in Counseling and is the Managing Member of Senior Path Specialists.
She received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and her Masters of Arts in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio graduating summa cum laude.
Susan has served the Sacred Circle of Friends Widowed Persons Support Group for 25 years as a Facilitator, Secretary, and Board President and has developed the Widowed Persons Travel Club. She is a volunteer for the American Cancer Society facilitating Life After Loss sessions, various Hospices, and she facilitates the caregiver support group for the Alamo Area Stroke Survivor Club. She also worked at Porter Loring Mortuaries for six years as a Pre-need Consultant and in bereavement support.
Susan works as a Senior Care Consultant by guiding people on issues concerning Medicare, Medicaid, Veteran Benefits, Long Term Care, Placement (including Residential Care Homes), Asset Preservation, and Funeral Planning. She can also serve as a Celebrant officiating Funerals and Memorial services.
Her company, Senior Path Specialists serves to assist those preparing for retirement or those in immediate need of direction as a caregiver or those needing care. Senior Path Specialists helps people stop worrying about running out of money or having to go to a nursing home.
